I haven't been able to get out as much as I would like. When I've had time the weather was cold, rainy or windy. When the weather was decent there was something that had to be done to get our new house completed.
From my limited experience, some walleyes are still in their early shoreline locations (turtle river bar and the other bar on the northeast corner in particular) and some are starting to filter out to the main lake bars. Jig and minnows work well, but I've caught a few ( plus some really nice northerns - up to 35" ) on Shad Raps. I'm going to try to get in some heavy fishing time starting this Saturday, so ask again later if you don't get any better responses now. PS: Water levels are starting to come up a little, but are still low, so be careful. Some areas you could motor over easily in a normal year are now threats to your lower unit.

It wasn't fast and furious, but the best fishing Saturday morning was where North Cedar Bar meets Deadman's Bar. There were 9 boats there, more than anywhere else on the big lake. The DNR officer stopped me for a creel check when I got in and he indicated that fish are starting to move into their summer locations and more fish are starting to get taken on leeches.
