I travel to Mpls/St.Paul regularly and typically stay in the Fridley area. After work, I like to cruise around and visit Thorne Bros, Vados, Capra's, etc. I also try to make it down to Cabela's in Owatonna. I enjoy bargain hunting for out of production rods & reels like Pinnacle rods, Shimano Bantum reels, etc. I'd be grateful for any tips on other places I should be checking when I'm in town. Thanks in advance for any replies.

There is a place over behind Galyan's in Rchfeild called Outdoors Again. It is in the area that is slated for the new Best Buy, so they might be gone or leaving soon.
If you know how to get to the Galyan's parking lot on 494 and 35W, Outdoors Again is kitty corner (North West) of their entrance/exit.
They are a consignment shop for outdoor equipment. You name it they have it....used!
