I have a shorelander trailer with 14 in. 5 hole rims could anyone tell me what type of car rim would work for a spare?

Do not use a car rim. You paid good money for the trailer, spend another $100 for a good rim/spare. Do not skimp on it, I promise it will get you in the end. The rims on your trailer may differ in construction when compared to a car rim--strength,weight, width etc. Protect your investment with a shorelandr' spare.
