I can't seem to log into this new work computer, but I'll tell you what I know.....

After we chatted on the radio Saturday, I picked up another couple fish then got frustrated with the weeds and traffic so I ran to West Sister. There was pack of boats out there north east of where I fished. We were all alone. I ended up with a limit of 3+# fish. I have been back there every day since and caught a limit each time except yesterday. We ended with 14 yesterday in about 3 hours, then couldn't take the black flies any longer. Must have had 100 flies on the boat at all times and they all bit our ankles. One guy even sat on the back of the boat with his feet in the water for a while. Lots of sheephead out there. When you find the eyes you have to fish tight to them, once you get out of them, it's sheephead city. All fish on spoons trolled at 2.5 - 2.7 mph. My waypoint is 14.1 miles 0 degrees from our docks.

Before Saturday, I was getting all my fish at 4.95 miles 7 degrees left. Last year at this time, the fish were in heavy off Fermi. I may try there next time because the weeds seem to be clearing. The surface temp has raised a lot in the past 4 days, it is up to 76 - 77.

I fished from out front of the Banana Dike to out front of Fermi last Saturday from 2:30 - 7:30 PM the two of us caught two limits of walleyes on chrome hot n tots, crayfish color hot n tot, and clown reef runner about 13 to 14 feet down in 15 - 22 feet of water. The weeds keep me busy cleaning lines but fish were good size 17.5 - 22.5.

Thanks for the info Jf9, I was gonna try again after I talked to you on the radio, but I was still having battery problems and had to troll with the big motor, (not much fun) so I just gave up and went in. I'm gonna be out this weekend, (bought a couple new batteries) I think I'm gonna try in front of Fermi also, last year at this time, they were thicker than hair on a hounds back!

John, they are in front of Fermi. I ran past the point to 23-24 fow, stopped and trolled parallel to shore. We fished anywhere from 24 - 19 ft. I know I started in 24 and ended in 19. No time to look at the graph in between. Four man limit in 1.5 hours we were done tonight by the time we got just past the towers, never turned. There are some smaller fish but about half in the 2-4# class. I had fished west sister the past 4 times out and I'm glad I didn't run out there today. There is not a weed in the area thanks to the west winds for the past three days. I thnk it will be very busy tomorrow, there were already a couple charters in the area from as far as Toledo beach. Just pray we don't get a west wind to mess things up.
