I got one of the first units in Michigan and like it. The GPS is great but the sonar is not the very best. The unit is easy to program with the CD that is included. Overall I would say that it is worth the price. Larry

I have the LMS-160 and the GlobalMap 1600. The units are the same except the 160 comes with sonar. The GPS is great and relativley simple to use once you've read the owners manual and played with it a bit. The sonar seems to be fine too except the split screen is a little annoying because the sonar portion of it is too narrow. All in all, I like the units though. I would recommend getting the instructional video...it was very helpful. Cabela's has them.

I have the LMS-160 the GPS is great but the sonar is on the low side (not very powerful) added an X-85 last fall big differance in power. The mapping is nice you can order maps from Navionics and down load them into the unit works out pretty good changing maps doesn't erase your way points or fish markers either.

Fine unit. GPS/mapping works good on the water..you will need a pc to download detailed maps into the unit. The sonar is nothing more than a x-65...average at best. The best combo would be Globalmap 1600 for mapping, and another sonar unit next to it.
