What are the differences between the Aqua-Vu Jr. and Aqua-Vu Z-Series? I found a Jr. for $200, only used twice. Is this a good deal or should i go with one of the newer modles?

Might have some answers at www.aquavu.com
I like my Z series, although the display on the IR model doesn't seem as bright as the MC2X

the z-series has 9 ir lights built in versus 7 for the jr. also the mc2x has the multi color ir (9 also) that will allow for better viewing in dark or staned water than standard ir. the z-series and mc2x have a cable wrap that makes it esier to carry.
one note on the jr. there have been some problems with the cord where it enters into the unit.

If you are really going to get one, rent the models in question first. Many shops around here rent out the untis for $25.00 per day--then you can see for yourself.

Does the display on the MC series come in color? The ads seemed to imply that it was a color display unit in addition to color LEDS. Thanx!

No, the MC2X uses color instead of the IR lights for visibility on the camera, but the monitor is Black and White.

Have you checked out the other cameras on the market?
I highly recommend "Outdoor Viewing System" VS300 series
camera or "Mini-Atlantis" underwater camera. OVS web isn't up yet. Atlantis web www.atlantiscamera.com.. Superior quality
in either companies...
