Illinois walleye guy

We are heading to the Chetek chain of lakes, in WI. in 2 weeks. Just wondered if anyone had a fishing report or advice for this area. We will be staying on Prairie Lake. Would like to do some walleye fishing but am also interested in panfish for the kids. Any advice on this area would be very appreciated.

Thank You

will be heading up this weekend withthe girl friend. Walleyes tend to be hit or miss. Usually not alot of eyes but my last trip two weeks ago I caught the most eyes in quite some time up their. I have a couple of spots that are good for the usuall couple. Panfish are almost always good some where. You just have to find the bigger ones, Shallow/deep? Most crappies are smaller 6-8" right now. Their are alot of small gills but their are some really nice ones to. Tends to be alot of bobber fishing. Try everything for bait and find what works best. Most people their dont change their tactics to much when the fish aren't bitting, They usually are bitting some where if the little ones are shallow try the deeper side of the weeds and the big ones will be their. Bass fishing is always great on the chain, many small ones but their are some wall hangers in their (largemouths). Northerns are few but present with decent size. Prarie is a good lake to be on for gills but pokegam seems to produce the most eye for me with crappies also.
