It sounds like the walleyes are getting harder to come by lately according to the few posts I've found. Does anyone have any encouraging news? We'll be there in a couple days. Thank you for any info.
Save your gas money and stay home if you are looking for eyes. The bite has been pretty tough. Hard to find any schools at lunch time.

Just returned from M.L. - wow, tough bite for us. We only fished walleyes in the middle of the day but still only averaged a fish every 2 hours. We lindy rigged for probably 3 hours and no bites, the rest of the time we pulled cranks on and off the flats with most of our biters being near the breaks. We did the best on a #7 rattlin suspending shad rap, silver/green back, with 200' of 10# fireline behind the board.(15' down). Otherwise we fished muskies early and late each day and only managed one 43"er and a handful of follows. Also had some big pike at 42 1/2" and 38".oh ya our walleyes were 19-26", no slots, which was fine since I didn't take the knife anyway, didn't expect any. Also got a few smallies on the NW side in 10' on #5 shad raps, but only tried it for a couple hours one day. Did anyone do any good on the eyes?
