I love fishing this body of water. I have to say I have had the best luck for larger fish pulling cranks. I have seen many 10-12" eye's cleaned and these folks seem pleased with their day of livebait fishing. That's not the ticket for me. I like to catch and release the big girls and keep fish in the 15-20" range. Cranking has done well for me, not always a limit but usually better fish...

Try shad raps and wally divers. Green colors work well. Perch. I have had good luck pulling leadcore on the minnewaukan flats. Do not be afraid of speed 2.5 to 4 mph. If you are not familiar with leadcore, I would suggest learning. If not try deep little rippers by reefrunner. Green or yellow colors seem to work the best. You can probably troll anywhere on that lake. 20 to 30 feet a good depth to start, crank up the speed and cover water. Hope this helps.

It's been different every day there. The jointed Shad Raps have been good producers as have the small Walleye Divers. Leadcore is the best technique. Ugly Ducklings have worked well on some days also. The sinking type with the arched back seemed to work best with the Ducklings. Colors do make a difference on some days, I start with a mix of light and dark and let the fish decide.

Personally I would pull the cranks for big fish and slipbobber fish early for walleyes in the eating catagory. When we went 3 weeks ago I pulled or drifted bottom bouncers and a silver crawler rig in the 21 to 26 ft range and caught alot of eater fish. I did this on the east side of Grahams Island and anywhere else that had trees along the shore. You will graph alot of fish in this depth so be watching. If you can take your bait along because it is pretty spendy in the local area.
good Luck!!
Take your family fishing!!!!

I would second the motion about leadcore and #5 jointed shad raps. Firetiger was by far the best for me when I was out there last fall. I would look at the regulations for the state. Last year a law was put into effect that it was ileagal to bring in bait from out of state.
