Can anyone tell me where to get some "flutter spoons" to use behind bouncers w/spinner rigs?

Cabelas carries some small spoons in a package of ten I believe. Without hooks, and I believe only in unpainted metallics.

I use these. They are the same size and weight as a typical flutter spoon. Plus cheaper, and no hooks. The unpainted surface works well for me becuase I use alot of metallic flutters. However, you could do them up on your own, or there are more then a few companies and people that custom paint just about any pattern for not to much.

Hope I was some help.

Cabela's seems to have the best price on them right now if you are looking for quantity. They have 4 sizes to choose from and also multiple metallic colors and painted ones. However, for attraction I would stick to a hammered silver or gold and not worry about other metallics or the colored ones.

The two sizes I would recommend are N0 (for smaller eyes) and N1 for the larger ones. All you need is to pick up some split rings and should be all set.

NetCraft also sells them and have some good metallic finishes also. Just make sure you get the "flutter spoons" than the heavier dodger makes. Good luck.

First time I seen them was on Bass Pro's fishing show last night, do they really help? What conditions are the best for the addition of a flutter spoon? Also do you attach them directly to the bottom bouncer with a split ring and then add your 3' of line to the spinner? We are getting more snow again today and tomorrow, very disheartening, I sure would love to have some open water, cmon spring!

Thanks for the help. I'll take a closer look at the Cabelas catalog tonight. In response to the question on attatching the spoons, attatch the spoon to the bouncer w/a split ring and attatch the other end to your spinner leader w/an additional split ring. Make sure you have a good swivel between the split ring and rig or you'll have a twisted line in no time. The spoons are used as an additional attractor and can sometimes put more fish in the boat. Good luck.

Two additional sources for the flutter spoons are Barlow's at www.barlowstackle.com and Stamina at www.StaminaQC@aol.com. The first is located near Dallas and the second near Minneapolis.
