has anyone dared to venture up the river this week. can't fish pymy this weekend, i was going to try the river. have not been up there in a long time, any info would be nice. thanks mt stringer. walleye smallies white bass

I guess nobody is fishing the Allegheny! I think I may just give it a try Sunday evening at the mouth of Bull Creek. Might even take the lantern along to fish into the evening. Will post on Monday. In the mean time, let me know how you did. LOL!

I have been fishing the Al at lock 4 braburn and the walleye are hitting very big shiners with 2-3 ft. snell in the very stiff current. As soon as the rig starts to settle bang. 5-8 FT of water best I can tell. Biggest shiners I can get hold of. 10# flathead too. As soon as the line starts to not bounce. look out

fished this evening in pool 3. fished down stream of the dam in between the two islands, caught a little of everything. perch smallies cats walleye, and drum. 5' of water leeches, minnies, and worms. good luck
