Live to fish, fish to live!

Going to Boyd Lake tonight. I'm going to pull an all nighter. Will let you know tomorrow if it was worth while.
Have been fishing Standley Lake all summer long. It has finally died out so I'm thinking the lake has turned over already. Sounds like many of the area lakes have turned over already. I'm thinking that maybe night fishing will be the ticket and I'm going to try some large minnows on lighted floats and jigs to see if that does the trick. Good Luck to all, Dan Dan

Fished Boyd from 8:30 PM to 11:30 AM. All I caught through the evening hours were Cats. When daylight hit I tried over near the pump house and caught about 25 LM bass not much bigger than the shiners that I was using. It was a nice relaxing evening though!

Dan, the bass fisherman will be very happy in 3 or 4 years! I have a feeling that Boyd is going to be like Lone Tree (too much forage). It looks as if the L.M. bass, white bass and shad all had a tremendous hatch this year. We were out last friday and the shad were so thick up in the Horseshoe inlet you would snag one about every other cast. It may be a tough bite, but at least Boyd has water. Collie

I was out at Quincy yesterday and it to is loaded with small LM. Conditions must of been good this spring for bass spawning?
