Hi guys, I am going to Big Mac for a long weekend. Does anyone have a recent fishing report?
Thanks

I'll bet you've spent more time on the lake this year than I, but here's a 2nd-hand report from a friend who fishes it frequently:
1) You may find some 'eyes suspended over deep water (there's getting to be less and less of it).
2) White bass & wipers (last year) chase schools of baitfish (shad, mostly) against the shorelines early & late, and can be a lot of fun!
3) If you like kitty cats, you can drift with shrimp or shad--the lake is full of whiskered varmints.

Hey Bro,
A guy I work with was camping up there Sunday thru Tuesday and couldn't get anything but cats. He also said the rattlers were very numerous so watch the kids.

The lake is over 50 ft down, and the only usable boat ramp is on the north end of the dam @ Martin bay. You better have a 4WD or pay a tractor. Sorry to be so bleak, but it is bad.

For Walleyes stay toward the dam trolling deep water, at least 20ft and do not be afraid of trolling for suspended fish in the deepest water you can find. Slab the South point areas as well as the drop off areas on the North side from Martin bay to Arthur bay. Wiper and white bass have been hitting trolled live bait toward the West end, just be careful going up there!
