We hit Chatfield from 6:30 am until about 2 pm on Tuesday. Got a small walleye early and the smallies were clobbering the leeches so I had to switch to crawlers. Searched for the eyes thru the morning without much luck. Picked up three keepers between 18" & 20" around noon and had several other hits and misses or losses (forgot the net) on the structure out from the swim beach. We were losing troller battery power and we put a buoy out which was a mistake because a couple other boats decided that this was their spot. Thanks guys. All in all it was a pretty decent day and not too hot. Anyone have fishing report on Big Mac.

thanks for the info...i hope to be going out this afternoon.
do you have any idea what all of the boats are after over
by the handi cap ramp?
as far as thrownig out a buoy,i chased a boat to the marina
as he ran over mine and the skeg snagged it...
i use the heck out of them and refuse to fish someone elses.
i don't trust someone elses buoy as when i toss one out,it sure
as heck isn't right on top of the spoton the spot but can be
as much as 15' away from the actual location.
i was running off the drop and going up onto the roadbed and
there was a buoy...the owner informed me that he had marked
that spot.well i wasn't fishing that spot.i just got pushed there
by the wind, and low battery power. i did really good as i just
went on my way and for once kept my mouth shut.because you
drop a buoy does not make that piece of the lake yours.it
would be nice if others would respect the area though.
this could get a lot of different responsesand has been pounded on this site.
but dropping a buoy directly on top of the road bed at chatfield
isn't exactly very sportsman like..if you expect to OWN that piece
of the water. how about dropping it 5' off to the north/south.

Ah, the joys of fishing in Colorado. You couldnt pay me enough to fish between C-470, U.S. 36, E-470 and will just say the foothills. It's just going to get worse, common courtesy is lacking serverly in the outdoors and the water ways. My two cents worth, packing for Glendo and not bringing any markers! Collie
