I just got my boat motor back and am ready to hit the lake for the first time this year. I would appreciate any information on where the fish are. My ideal trip would be to limit in walleye in the morning then go and have some steelhead fun around noon. Going out of lorain, all info appreciated.

Fish seem to be mostly on the east sige of the bar.Try the 33-34 n/s and out of Lorain maybe the 11-14 east/west line.Just a starting place, from there I would look for the boats and work my way west.Be advised there are numerous nets in the sandbar area and after the recent blows there may be some larger debris also.Dipsies w/spoons or harnesses have been working lately. No word on any bullets lately. Good luck, Mike

Can't agree more with you on watching out for nets. We were out near the sandbar early morning on the 2nd. We were out as the sun rose with an overcast. Nothing was lit as far as markers on the nets so caution on low light/low visibility conditions big time. There were so many it was tough to figure out how the sets were ran, but managed to get through.
