The best areas I have found have been on the east side, north of Big Point (Agate Bay is my favorite). I'll work the rocky shorelines and shallow rock reefs in the spring and again in the fall. During the summer I move off the shallow stuff and focus in the 10-15ft range. For baits, I use an 1/8 ounce Gamakatsu mushroom head jig with either a LuckyEStrike G-4 Camo tube or a Avocado green 5" Kalin grub. I also like the #12 Husky jerk in craw or similar suspending jerkbaits. Most of the hits come after a several second pause in the retrieve. Most of my spring fishing is spent looking for boulders surrounded by gravel or pebble size rock. I make sure to go slow and pitch my jig at the dark side of the boulder. Often times I will let it lay for upto 30 seconds on that spot and wait for the defensive females to pick it up and carry it off the bed. If you have specific questions feel free to ask!:)
