Hey guys,My buddy(the boat owner,so he wins)wants to Perch fish off of E72nd tomorrow morning.I prefer to troll for Eyes.
After we are done Perch fishing we plan to try some trolling.
I know the bite is HOT around Huron/Vermillion,but it looks like Cleve for us.
We have all the gear, dipseys, riggers boards etc.
Is there any bite to speak of at this time of year during the day off of Cleveland?
I just need some ideas as to what depths or locations to start.
Thanks in advance to the best Eye anglers on the net!

I would try in close first say between 37' - 45'. There are fish coming in there at night to feed and my guess is that their not heading back out to far. If that doesn't work try the 50' - 60' range. Just my $.02.

Tommy gave you some good sugestions, but if that doesn't work try going west pass Rocky River and fish 50' depth close to the bottom. I've worked the area in front of Cleveland every day last week, after perch fishing, with no takers. Hope you get some.

Good Luck!!!

Hey Vergil where killing them at Vermillion! Take the time out to go there, the Cleveland bite won't start til the end of the month - F Y I. Real simple straight north of Vermillion 9 miles or so, kinda looks like your fishing up by the Islands with all the boats there.

Thanks for the info! I'm still tied to home port for now, I still don't trust my boat yet. At least here I can use my membership with Cleveland Marine Towing if I break down. Thanks for looking out though, by next year I'll have me a new boat so things will be diferent. I'll see you when they start here in Cleveland!!

Good Luck!!!
