Hello, it is Tuesday morning and it is raining here at Lake Erie. We had three weeks of bad weather in September with a lot of wind, rain, and chilly temperatures. Then about two weeks ago we started having Indian Summer. It has been really nice. I went fishing 3 times last week. We went Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We went trolling for walleye off Huron Monday, and got 13 fish in the 2 to 5 lb. range. Tuesday we went perch fishing north of North Bass Island and caught 150 perch. We had one that was 13 ½” long and several 11 and 12 inches long. Wednesday I took three women out perching, and we caught our 120 perch in about 3 hours and had some nice ones. We fished in the same place. The perch fishing has just been great once we got the weather. The walleye and the smallmouth bass fishing has picked up. We started selling night crawlers and soft craws again. We have started catching walleyes again mostly east of here. East of Kelleys Island about 10 miles, North of Cedar Point, Huron, and Vermilion. Most days the trollers get them, and some days the drifters get them. The reason I broke down and posted one more report is because of the weather. It is supposed to be really bad for the next couple of days. Gale force winds with waves up to 12 feet. It is suppose to start tonight and continue thru Thursday. Then Friday thru the weekend it is supposed to back to the good weather we have had. If this comes true we will have two more weeks of good fishing. Good fishing, & good luck, Don. It's going to take more than one days rest to have the fish start going again. Will be lucky if we get anything by the weeekend. The fish was very tightly schooled up. After 10-12 foot waves they'll be all over. Hopefully will get average days in a row to settle things out. I was surprised that the lake was calm all the way up till 9pm. Than all #### broke loose.
Good Luck!!
