Good news. Lowrance has an upgrade for the new x15's problem of slow scroll speed. Lowrance says it will almost double the existing maximum scroll speed. It can be directly downloaded onto your unit from the Lowrance web site.

Verify it for yourselves. Go to the lowrance web site and see the new download set up. Don't be shy, ask them lots of questions. That's what they have that format for. It can be hard to get a straight answer tho. They love to tap dance, double talk, sidestep and skirt the issue of scroll speed. lowrance prefer the term "chart speed". That's the way they refer to it in their tutorial section. They will say things like "the x15 upgade has made the x15 scroll speed twice as fast as the normal chart speed of the x85". NORMAL speed? ( the x85 has fasttrac) That's like saying a Ford can go twice as fast as Chev. if Chev. is stuck in second gear. Personally.... I'm keeping my money in the bank until they get this thing figured out and it proves itself to be a winner.

Thanks Gord. I'll keep looking and not buying for the time being. My two 350A's still have allot of life left in them. That is until Lowrance stops servicing them.
