looking for comments on the best fishfinder for western basin, in the $ 500. range. I have been told go for high watts rms, that give better defintion, or go for better resolution... two units i'm looking at is the ratheon L750 witch has 500 watts but low resolution, or the furno 667 crt that has great resolution but only 300 watts... also looked at the zercom liquid paper lpg 2000. has 400 watts and good resolution, but is not color. any ideas?

I'd try and find a left over LMS 350A somewhere. They can be bought for around 500 dollars right now. It was and still is the product of choice for western lake erie. Dan Marker

You could also check out the lowrance x-85 3000 watts peak to peak power and 240 x 240 pixels.
In my opinion a real nice unit. Happy Hunting
