Talked to some of the guys out last night and they had some interesting reports between the two boats. Seems it's feast or famine. One boat had 14 from dark to 9:30 and the other had 1.

They were both in the general vacinity of each other so they should have been on fish South of the narrows. The only difference and I say this because it's proven to be a big difference in the past up there is one boat ran on it's electric and the other ran it's kicker. Seems that at night up there and in most places quiet is always better.

No particular bait preference but prisms in general. Also water temp was down to 36 and there was ice at the Kippling Ramp when they came in. One other note is that they only had one fish before the moon came up. I was told it was bouncy south of the narrows because of the SW winds.

Talked to the guys up there again this AM and just now on the boat phone and the bite is slow for them. Last night they only had 2 fish in one boat and one in the other, before they pulled the plug because of the wind and rain. (Packer game had nothing to do with that I'm sure). Tried to fish the spot they had the day before but the wind, rain and waves made boat control difficult south of the narrows. Last night all fish came just before dark and then zip.

This evening as of a few minutes ago they still had not been bit. Been out about 5 hrs. already and fished from Black Bottom to the North end. Things are getting ugly fast as the threat of putting out FireGlow Renoskies and pulling the prism's has been mentioned. It's gotten so bad that they are now smoking Swisher Sweets, drinkng N/A and chewing beef jerky, while listening to Alan Jackson. All stops are being pulled out on the last night of the LBDN foray.

Wish I was there to stop the insanity! I'll report in the AM when they return to their senses. They did mention something about "Blazing Saddles" Chili if they continue to get skunked. I pitty house keeping tomorrow.

Appreciate the reports. Has anyone heard anything regarding the "day" bite?

So far the day bite is much slower than the night bite. Best bet during the day is jigging and rigging chubs and crawlers. Basic structure fishing along the points, reefs, and drop-offs. A few fish have been caught during the day trolling shallow running cranks on lead-core or snap weights. Trolling or casting at night is the ticket right now. This weekends weather is supposed to be nice. The fishing should be fantastic.
