Fella's Went out wed. night down from elizebeth park. Water was like glass. Only half as dirty as it was last weekend. Got the skunk for the second time in a row. Water was 42 degrees.I did see another boat come up the trenton channel about 9:30 so I know I not the only nut out there at night !

I had the Wyandotte area covered. Jigged and drifted harnesses around Mudd Island and down BASF. Big 'ole nasty skunk for me too.
Water is much cleaner and no weeds finally!!!
That water temp is dropping fast! Only a few more trips left before the launches start to ice over. Looks like we're going to make it to December.

Figured that you got the skunk since you didn't call back. I need to find somewhere to fish on Saturday with my Tennessee buddies. Breast Bay seems too muddy, and trolling out of Vermillion could be a choice but these guys want to jig. Thinking about heading to the mouth of Lake St. Clair and fishing south to Lake Eire. Figure that we need to burn 25 gallons out of the boat to winterize, and somewhere in that almost 20 mile stretch we should find some biters. If anyone has been out, and knows about clarity let me know. All appreciation in advance. I will post and let you know.

scott It was getting late and I was throwing everything at them with out a hit. The little gizzard shad were thick as sometimes I would hook two at a time on the reef runner. If I were going out jigging I would run down to the warm water at edison and net some of them for bait. You can just about walk across them near the docks. With the shad so thick you would think that the walleye would be there picking them off.

Well we battled to winds on Saturday for two fish in five hours. Started at the lighthouse at the mouth of St. Clair and caught one instantly. Managed only one more fish for the next couple hours. Moved south back to Wyandotte and had two more hook-ups but no fish. Water was too muddy along the Canadien shore so we stuck to American water. Stopped at 3:00 because doofus forgot to bring oil for his resevoir, so we never made it down to Trenton. Call me if you want to head out one night.
