I am going to spool up a new rig. Medium light action baitcasting rig. primary use will be jigging but will also use this reel on a longer rod to cast cranks etc. Both rods rated to 12 lb test and for the jigging application, I really don't want to exceed 10 lb. I use Fireline on my spinning rigs but fear it would not hold up well and would lead to hopeless backlashes in a baitcasting application. I would prefer a braided superline over mono. Suggestions? Or would I be best served to go w/ mono to avoid backlash issues.
