Does anyone know what the tool used on Wednesday's Kastaway Kulis's
fishing show was? They were on the "Lake Erie Charters" aboard the "Karen Ann" I believe.
The metal tool looked something like a bar with a cabinet handle attached, and a metal spike like rod about 8 to 10 inches long. They would put the spike up through the gill plate and out the mouth to lift the fish from the net. They would never have to handle the fish with their hands. Anyone?

I know what you're describing, but I don't know what it's called. I know Cabelas and Bass Pro have a couple of different fish handling devices. They might even offer the one you're talking about.

Checked all the suggested sites, can't find it. I emailed the charter service and "Kastaway" but haven't received a reply yet.
It's not a gaff, it's just a one handed small device with a small diameter metal rod attached. Worked pretty well!
