I have never been on Big Stone (MN. or S.D.) before. I have all my own ice gear (portable shelter, etc.). Can anyone recommend a spot to access the lake? For instance a resort with plowed roads. Preferably a resort or other source, who might be on some fish. I am certainly willing to pay for road access, I just don't need a house. How's the Walleye bite on big stone? The ice thickness is good I assume? Don't want to sink the F-150.
Thank's in advance for any responses.

Hi. I contacted Schmidt's as advised, and am very gratefull that I did. I was expecting to be able to drive onto the Lake with my father, but the folks at Schmidt's informed me the snow has gotten pretty unruly there. Even the resorts are pulling everything off the lake already. Honest information like that, will have me going to Schmidt's in the future. Thanks TBO/MN
