Has anyone been up to Kinzua to see if the lake has any remaining ice chunks floating around? Would you be able to get out on it without running into them all day? Prefer up towards the Reservation if at all possible. It would just be nice to be up there jigging out of the boat for the last weekend of eye season. Give me the scoop.

As of last Saturday about 2 miles into NY and north was fairly open but a muddy torrent. Water level is way down. They supposedly got 4-6" of snow last night. I will be past there tomorrow, I'll get a post back up for you in case you can make it for Sunday.

The water is cleared to a fishable level. Lots of ice from just before Pa line and south. Willow is still iced in.

Made it out in the boat Sunday on the zua. Only a couple of nice bass and a few legal pike. Had no problems with chunks of ice floating. Didn't really miss anything on the river, but didn't figure I was since the water looks alot like mud and is way too high for me. Good luck.

Wondering where you put in at and where you fished, highbanks and big bend, or other end of lake. Saw a couple of boats out yesterday and was wondering if one of them were you.

Actually I put in at Webbs Ferry. Easy sailing. Even easier once the get the floating dock all put together and out there. I was out from 6:00am until around 5:00. Where did you see boats? I was closer to Stateline and the Islands.

Was there a lot of trees and branches floating around? I haven't been up to look in a couple of weeks.

Yes there was quite a few, but as long as you paid close attention and didn't try to go mach2 down the lake you were ok. Nobody that was out was tring to do that though. I can't believe you didn't make it out for the last day. How do you like your new boat? Any regrets? Nice hearing from you again. I would like to sit down and discuss a few things about this last year if you have some time this spring. Let me know. Thanks

Love the new boat. Only regret is there isn't enough open water to get her broke-in yet. Give me a call, my numbers in the book.
