Called up to Allen's on last Thursday the 11th and the guides told me that the water was so muddy due to the wind, not to even try it, they fished from the dam down passed dock 44 in Platte and caught 1 fish. Now the week before was good at Kiowa and up at the basin. I am going this weekend if the forecast is nice. Good luck, Darrin

Hoping to make it out this weekend also. That wind has really
been messing with the plans to get out. Hope it will cooperate
as the temps sound like they should!

Fished the last few days up from Chamberlain. Just got home tonight. The bite was better than last week. But the water temps are still cold 37-38. Nasty snow made Tuesday morning tough but the day got nicer in the afternoon. 5 keepers out of about a dozen caught. Wednesday was really good for us caught and released about 40, kept our limit of nine. This morning fished until noon and kept nine out of 16. The fish looked very healthy nice and fat. Not many under 15", most are between 15-17". All our fish came on jigs in 20-27 feet. Kiowa seemed to hold the most fish. Can't wait to get out again next week. It should keep getting better as water temp rises.

The weather looks good for this week. Warmer temps should help the bite.
