View Full Version : Power-Pro cost vs. Fireline?

Hey Den, maybe you can reiterate the difference in cost between these two lines? I thought there was a big difference, but in looking on the webb, their pretty close. How about your input? I know there's pros and cons for each, but I want to buy 1 huge spool of line and be done with it! I've been using Berkleys Whiplash and I love it, but #20 is the lightest they make.

To be completely honest, i have never even compared the cost, even at the shop. after using both lines and some others too, i liked the power pro better, so i have stayed with it on almost all of my reels. the bulk spools is the best way to go, it depends on the line weight for the 1500 yard spools. i will try to remember to check the prices tomorrow, if you get a chance give me a call tomorrow at the shop and i can tell you how much it is then too. i hope this helps. good luck and good fishin.

According to a Berkley Rep, They have discontinued the 4/20 and 6/30. I would buy some if you like it and can still find it. Works great for finesse jigging those lite bite eyes!!
