Fella's the weather is not looking too good for this coming weekend. But if I don't get out soon I'm going to go nut's.I think that it's time to just pile on the clothes and get started.Maybe a few trips in the cold will change my mind. The first walleye of the year will feel good !

I know what you mean. I'm going soon, might meet a fellow W/C member out there tomorrow. MAYBE! :) Funny how you couldn't get me off the river until there were ice-cicles on me, now 50 degrees sounds cold!

TE One of my problems is that I like to fish at night and then it's worse.

They're calling for 52 degrees on Saturday, and then cold again on Sunday. I haven't ruled Saturday out yet, but I'm not too keen on dragging the boat through the melting snow and salt. Only in Michigan do we dump 2 inches of salt for every one inch of snow.

Tom,
You are correct. The forecast for saturday is calling for temps in the 50's. But, take a peek at what they forcast for the wind. Southwest with gusts up to 20 MPH. If that forcast is ends up being true the river is going to be really a mess. I know it was not fun sunday when I was out. There were 4 footers in the river between Celeron/Horse Islands and whitecaps in the river above Calf Island. Two boats were fishing (one was anchored and one was jigging.) They boated nothing.....
Honestly, I think were a couple weeks away from some good fishing. The water temp is still in the mid to upper 30's. Would not hurt to give it a try.... Beats sitting at home.
