I snagged one at the Colorado Walleye Assn. auction for way too much but that is another story.....
I'll have it out this weekend and will provide a report on Sunday/Monday. Sure looks and feels neat- full contact with the rod bank at all times.

I own one that I bought for steelhead and it has awesome feel. I bought it almost 10 years ago when they first came out for 130.00. I still use it and it is a great walleye rod.
I.S., I started using them a couple of years ago and haven't looked back since!! Prices can vary from dealer to dealer so shop around. The last 2 I bought were $60/each from Reeds in Walker MN but it looks like they've ran their stock out on these blowout priced rods so it will probably go up some now. However, even before this winter sale started, Reeds had the best price I found, I think they were around $80 shipped to your door, Berkley changed the handle a bit from 2003 to 2004, 2003 and earlier models have cork above and below the reel seat and 2004 models have cork below reel seat and blank is exposed to finger tips above seat. I haven't fished with a new model yet but will probably pick up a couple this spring to upgrade a couple rods. Give one a try, I think their a great value and well worth a look. RJ in Montana.

I have the 2004 style, looks futuristic, feels and handles very good. Can't wait to give it a try.

Ive fished with the 04 quite a bit this spring, and found it to my liking. I even found it at the factory store for 40 bones. Couldnt believe it , when most of the others were in the upper price range. Not a second either. IN fact, I may go and see if there is anymore.

I've been using Berkley Series One rods for many years now. I use them for jigging, rigging, trolling, and planer boards. All have been excellent rods.

Italian stallion, they are a very good choice for the money. You can
shop on line at Fisherman's Factory Oulet. I own two. I prefer the
Medium-light action.
