Jack,
Looks like another week at least for me, getting the Yam T8 installed and the boat is at the dealer, We had to leave it with hopes they can do it sooner. If not Im planning on going and getting it up there next weekend without the kicker.

Jack,
My original plan was to be on the water Sat - looking doubtful now based on current forecast - not real big on getting caught in rain and thunderstorms for first trip of the year, but there is still a chance we may get out to try and catch a fresh meal on Sat. If we make it out, I'll have the radio on channel 79 and be happy to work with anyone else that makes it out. If I get out, I'll be pulling Reef Runners, Ripsticks, Rogues, Husky Jerks behind boards. Likely put in at Catawba if we go.

Fished off Marblehead today. Jiged for walleye and had a pole down for perch. Three guys in our boat and didn't catch a thing. Water is pretty dirty. Maybe 8 inch visibility at best.

The latest wind forecast is not looking promising for this weekend. I might try and jig up some jacks close in off the Locus reef area if it isn't too windy tomorrow. Was planning to try for some hawgs in the deeper stuff north of the reefs, but the SW wind looks like it will keep me in tight if I go.
Striper, not sure on the water temp since I haven't been out yet or have seen any reports. I would think it is around the mid 30s.
Drove down Lakeshore drive at lunch and afterwork. For what its worth looking from the beech, saw some definite mud lines but somne several clean runs as well. We should have a night of calm water to help clean it up before the wind picks up later in the day tomorrow.
Dose anyone know if A&Js bait off of route 2 is open tomorrow?

Have not seen A&J's open yet, but Happy Hooker bait that used to be located at Inland Marina has taken over what used to be Beach Carte Resturant and converted it to a new bait shop and he is open. They are located right on route 2 about a mile West of Davis Bessie, when you make the turn to go to Locust point, Turtle Point Marina, etc. He does have shiners and a good supply of tackle.

Went out of turtle creek today and fished for a few hours. Water was muddy for the first two or three miles, but the further NW we ran it was suprisingly clean. Didn't mark many fish the entire time, the only marks were around Niagara. No takers on the plugs, saw some guys jigging and it was slow for them at the time as well. Lake was calm and the water temp was 37.9 degrees. Looks like the wind will be cranking up tonight and tomorrow.

Thanks for the report. There have been fish at A can for a few weeks now if the water is clean they have been snapping. There are fish down inside too but it's mud in there now. I should have my Lund in the water Wednesday, New floor, bow, console all plastic. I will be fishing north of Round and LP. Last year at this time we were burning those fish north of round.
