Gary, there was a wrwa club tournament up on mosquito yesterday the 3rd. There are a couple of programs working right now but subject to change at any minute. First there are fish being caught in 1 foot of water along the shore line-using light jiggs and minnows. Also trollers caught some fish in the 12 to 15 foot water up in the northwest side of the south side of the 88 bridge-using #5 rapalas in yellow clown and firetiger colors on leadcore. Don't be afraid to troll at a good clip for this time of year---2.0 to 2.2 mph. Thats the way the tournament pretty much went.... No big fish caught, but lots of good eating 15 to 18 inchers. Hope you get some....

What was the winning weight? Just curious to see how heavy those fish are now.
There were 3 or 4 teams that had weights in the 8lbs range. 1)8.9 2)8.7 3)8.5 4)8.2 then some wieghts were in the 5 to 6lbs range. But there were alot of 1 or 2 fish and alot of zero's. Most fish were in the 15 to 18 inch range, and the big fish was 2.8 lbs I think. No big fish but good eaters.

went out this good friday a.m. north end of lake (above 88 causeway). about 20 boats launched at state ramp about 10 at private ramp at 88 causeway bait shop. water conditions appeared to be slightly browned with variable winds (N to NW to NE) at times some white capping. we drift fished slip bobbers with minnows, jigged using minnows and worms. we caught 2 crappie and no walleyes. we spoke to a few fisherman who came in when we were at the docks and the one boat had 2 nice eyes and 1 crappie the other boat reported 1 eye. it sure was nice being out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good luck to all and have happy easter.
