Hooked a small male eye well after sundown on fri. A 1/2oz glow jig & a 3" glow twister tail was the trick, suckers loved it too. Water & air temp was cool, maybe 55 & 60 degs respectively. Action was hot though, I kept the jig hopping off bottom while the current grabbed it & took it downstream.
Seen another guy earlier in the day hook into what looked to be a pre-spawn female? Long, about 26" & thick! Productive day regardless of species.

I'm not wading if thats what you mean. Rather, standing on shore casting into the current, bouncing the jig off bottom; while the current grabs the jig on the upstroke. In fact, I went again to the same area last night. Hooked several suckers again between the three of us (lost count at around 8). River yielded no eyes to us, however One guy was fishing a Rap Countdown a ways downstream from our spot; he hooked & landed a NICE eye. Couldn't tell if it was male or female... but it was around 28"L & around 3-4lbs. As said in the last report, the eyes are almost done spawning & are are going back in the lake. Slim pickins, but the eyes that are getting hooked are pretty girthy. Despite all else, the suckers are loving the same bait.

Them suckers are sure spawning! After picking eggs out of my hair, off my clothes, and the piles on my shoes, there's no doubt. Caviar anyone? :)
Sure was fun. Can't beat two or three fish on, then off in one cast many times. Was on a roll there for a minute. 3 fish on 3 casts, I believe. Bet you could literally walk across those things in the river right now.
