View Full Version : Brest Bay Friday
Fished Brest Bay today and the easterly breeze with the accompanying 3 foot waves has her stired up pretty good. Fished from 8:15 to 10:00 am. Drifted with harnesses with no luck. All the reports I heard on the radio were about the same. It`s gonna take a couple days to settle her down. I gave Perchjerker a shout but had no reply. Gonna fish the Musky opener on StClair tommorow. I`ll be pounding Anchor Bay.

Czar,
I couldn't get ahold of Perchjerker either, but I made a run out to just northwest of West Sister Island and did pretty good. I trolled discs with silver streak jr. spoons and got a 3man limit with fish from 15 to 27 inches. 55ft back of big boards with pink/copper being the best colors. A little bumpy on the way out but it was laying down when I came in at 2:30 p.m.Trolling speed was 1.9 to 2.2mph. Will be out there tomorrow. Had a friend call me up when I got home and he caught 12 walleyes out from Stony Point with bottom bouncers and crawler harnesses. Good luck and tight lines.

Fished Friday (6/4) but things were slow. We launched from Sterling and started in close, but the water is still very muddy. We headed off Stony Point to 22-25 feet of water. The water was still muddy, but better. There was a good east wind in the morning so we drifted harnesses. We picked up three walleye. The wind died in early afternoon so we trolled the harnesses and picked up a couple more. Overall fishing was very slow. We talked to the DNR creel clerk at the launch and he said there were a few boats that got skunked, one had 1 fish, one had 3 fish, and the best he saw was a boat with 7. A good day on the water, but fishing was slow.

Fished 5-6 miles north of the mouth of the Raisin River (24 ft of water) from 1:00 to 6:30 pm. 2 people / 4 walleyes between 16 and 18 inches. Crawler harnesses on the bottom. No color preference. I'll be back out tomorrow at about 9 am.
