Fished pymatuning Sunday and Tuesday last week.Limited Tuesday and got four keepers Sunday. The lake has been tough this year but seems to be picking up.I have been catching them lately in 18-20 feet of water alot of people are not getting anything.I got mine on half of a night crawler about a mile from the causeway on the south side.Perch were hitting like crazy, some decent ones.

Mr. In Fisherman,
Were you drifting or anchoring and what were you using? I am going to be bringing a bunch of guys up Thursday and would prefer to live bait fish rather than troll. Thanks

2 weeks ago Wednesday we went to Mosquito and caught 12 keeper eyes, about 10 keeper Crappie, 2 pike, a few white bass, and even a yellow perch. All we caught trolling Hot 'n Tots, using fireline, steel line, and lead core. We trolled the stumps in 12 to 14 foot of water on the south end by the island. Not much size, largest was 16 inch, but boy did they taste good. It was too rough to be on Erie that day, so old Mosquito saved the day. By the way, we caught all our fish on a small area that boats were drifting and anchored around. We only saw them catch one walleye all day as we were getting doubles. The old Hot 'n tots work bets, gold and perch, but I doctored the new ones and even those caught some fish.

Spunkeye, drifted until I hit a few.I then threw out a marker and anchored.I was using half a crawler and a split or two.Its a simple rig but works.I dropped the worm straight down and then lifted it a little off the bottom.I was on some bottom structure {wood}.I also got alot of perch on minnows but not one walleye on a minnow.Trick is you got to find some bottom structure. If ya snag ,it may be good sign.Good luck,If you score let me know.

We popped 4 keepers in the ditch in front of ORCHARD BOAT LAUNCH PA SIDE before the action slowed, we also marked a ton of fish there, now's the time!

Fished Saturday from approximately 1-7 pm. Caught (5) walleye some perch and bluegill. Water Temp. 70 degrees. Walleye caught anywhere from 4-15' of water on jigs and 1/2 a crawler. Fished the South end up around the big beach. Did cross the Lake and and fish around Orchard for about an hour. Caught (1) eye over at Orchard. I was marking fish but the wind was goofy, never could stay on the same drift and I didn't want to throw a marker out and get swarmed by boats. The wind blew from the East, Southeast and South, then the lake got like a pancake. Hope this helps.

Fished Pymy Saturday June 12th 7:30AM to 2:30 PM. Caught 2 limits of Walleye. 4 fish over 4 lbs, 24 - 25 inches. Fished from Duck & Drake launch up to the causeway. Trolled bottom bouncers with worm harnesses. Didn't have the numbers we normally have at this time but the fish were definitly larger. Great day on the lake.

All fish caught in 15 ft of water or deeper.

I use 10 lb Trilene XT to the bottom bouncer.

I use 60 inch Northland Tackle Float'n Spin worm harness.

The best time for pymy is 2:00 am to daybreak, the monster eyes let their guard down a little. We have caught several hogs 12 to 14 pounds over the last 10+ years.

Mr. Bull, sorry you cant catch anything bigger than dinks... One suggestion, dont worry about what everyone else is using, try creek chubs or whatever forage is in and around the lake. Big fish ( not dinks ) only need to feed once every day or so, this is true with musky too, and they seem to turn on under the cover of darkness. By the way those Silver Dollar size cheeks are excellent, and dont beleive what they say about "inland hogs" not tasting good. A 11.5 is in the fridge for tonights dinner and can still smell him on my hands from fillieing (sp) him/her last night. Good Luck

Thats a mighty big eye did you get him at night on Pymy.

Yes, right before midnight 18 ft of water, coming up off the main river channel. Funny thing about it was we started at 7:00 pm and not 1 hit before that. When we use chubs you dont get as many hits, but when you do its usually nice. The hogs are there, just tough to get them to go.

You could either scan the picture or take a picture of it w/ a digital camera. Would be real interested in seeing a picture of those hawgs. My personal best is 6# on the lake.
