I will be camping and fishing at Round Lake this weekend and I was wondering how and where to fish this lake. Any info would be of great help. THANKS
Round Lake has a lot of nice walleyes if you can find them! The bite right now seems to be off and on. The main boat dock is on the east side of the lake where you will be camping. There is a secondary boat dock on the south side of the lake. Just to the west of the south boat landing there is a point that comes out. Just off of that point there are a lot of rocks (there are a couple of bouys that should also be off of that point). From that point continue to fish to the west and all along the west side of the lake. This is typically where most of the walleyes can be found. The north side of the lake can be productive as well. Round Lake is only 6' deep maybe 7' at the deepest. You will likely be fishing in only 4'to 5'. Word has it that a night bite has been better than day. Check with the local bait shop there at the campsite. They are very helpful.
Good Luck.
