Rob - Have been hearing good things about AuGres (30fow), and the Pinconning Bar area North of Linwood (12-18 fow). Pulling cranks or meat, Your choise. Good Luck, post Your results - Bob WC#253.

I dropped by Linwood on my way home from Houghton Lake on Sunday. I caught and released 5 fish over five pounds along with 7 or 8 smaller ones pulling bouncers and spinners in 14 to 16 FOW straight out from Hoyles. Very promising for the rest of the year.

ROB: PULLED 10 FISH OFF PINCONNING BAR YESTERDAY, BY MYSELF, IN 10-13 FOW. RAN IN-LINES & BOTTOM BOUNCERS. NOT MUCH WEIGHT, BUT TONS OF FISH. LOTS OF FISH BEING TAKEN OFF CALLAHAN REEF, OUT IF FRONT OF HOYLES, AND QUANICASSEE AREA. WATER CLARITY IS STILL STAINED. YOU HAVE TO GO UP BY SANGANING BAR FOR CLEAR WATER. I FISHED IN AUGRES LAST WEEKEND. LOOK FOR 30-35 FOW OFF PT. LOOKOUT. ALSO LOOK AT SOUTHERN MOST HUMP OF THE STEEPELS. HOPE THIS HELPS. DUFFY

Hey guys is it just me or does the inner bay bite seem weird for this time of year. I usually thought that the Charities (outer bay) heats up first and then the fish move in as the season progresses.
I guess I'll find out next week.
Just seems like alot of fish inside so far this year.

Rob:

You can find clean water if you look, might take some fuel to find it but once u do u should get some action.

Dan, typically the post spawn fish can be caught in the inner bay in early May, The big girls don't spend much time here as they move to deeper water rather quickly..The inner bay stays pretty consistent through out the summer with the smaller 3-5# fish, as summer winds down ,the big fish start migrating back into the inner bay....Tom

OK guys here's the scoop...... Saturday, lauched out of Hoyle's at 8:30 ran North Sat down in 12' of water. pulled variety of harnesses, caught 4 eaters. Decided to move further North, found much cleaner water the further north we went. In total we took a limit of 10 between 15" and 18", threw back the big ones. Sunday, tried Tots in the same general area and bagged 4 between 2 and 4 pounds before the weather drove of off the lake. All in all a beautiful weekend on the Bay.
