JOHNNIROCKER

Once again we fished the wave wacker tournament on Thursday and Friday. Once again we sucked the first day with no weigh fish. Second day we weighed 3 fish for 7 lbs. I spent 7 days on the water last week. The best bite I was able to find was, hang on. Bobbers. Yes I said bobbers. If you want to catch slot fish on mille lacs rite now, bobbers are it. The spinner bite is not on as of yet. Lindy rigs are producing fish in the 21 to 26 inch class. I had 2 guide trips one on Monday, we caught 6 slots from 16 to 19 inches. And 10 fish in the 21 to 27 inch range. Tuesday was slower but we were still able to catch 3 keepers and released another 7 over the slot. The water temps are at 63 degrees. A little bit warmer in the bays. There have been a few huge muskies sunning them selves on the surface that we saw on Mondays guide trip. I will be out all next week for the hunters point tournament which is Friday and Saturday the 25th and 26th of June. I will be pulling some crank baits this week out on the mud. I will let you know how it goes. I know that for a lot of you, bobbers are not what you wanted to here, but that is what is working for now. The night ban is also off as of the 15th of June. From what I can see the night time bobbers are doing great. Stay on the reefs for now. As the summer moves forward we will start to fish the deep-water gravel. Speaking of gravel. There are a few spots that are holding fish, but we could not get them to go on lindys or bobbers. Sloppy Joe’s is one of those gravel spots that are holding fish. Five-mile gravel is also holding non-biting fish. July bar has a few biting fish, but that s also day to day. The mud is just starting to give up some fish. Like 7 mile, 9 mile and the boot. If we get some warm weather it will all take off at once. I will be there when it happens and you will be the first to know. Also I would like to apologize to you for the report being so late. I have had major computer problems and have had to reformat my computer to resolve it. As many of you computer owners I’m sure have had to do at one time or another. I am up and running once again. For now. That is all of the information I have for now.
