Fished out of Sterling friday in front of Fermi in 19 to 23 feet of clear, weedfree and 68 degree water. HotnTots were the ticket with mettallic rainbow being the hot color Left the ramp at 7:15 to strong northerlies. Decided to fish inside the weir at Pt.Moullie where my brother, h2o from lakestclair.net landed a 2 lb largie. Winds calmed and at 9:30 we were fishing in front of the plant where we boxed 2 limits by 1:15. Several large sheep were caught as well and they were line screamers. Everyone out there seemed to be catching fish.

I forgot to add that at one point we had 4 on at once. 2 fish landed plopped on the deck and the other 2 landed. Gotta love it. They don`t call em great lakes for nothing.

Got 9 fish today on disks and pink/red Eye Candy spoons fished on 90' leads. Our five biggest fish in our little club tourney weighed 14# 14 oz. We found our best bite in the 22-25' foot depths, away from other boats. Spent the last hour towing some guy in from in front of the two stacks and he gave me "$5 for my troubles." Wow--5 bucks. Hopefully my good deed will come back to me on Tuesday night in the form of a magic ball and six matching numbers in the Mega Millions.

2 limits in front/north of Fermi in 22' of water. Harnesses w/ 2 oz back 36 - 48' feet back, 1.6 mph. Biggest 5 weighed 19 lbs. with one 6.10. If you got in shallower, seemed to catch more sheephead and trashfish. Best color was anything on copper, although purple and pink really shined. We caught all but one over one small spot and the fish seemed to prefer trolling with the wind.
If launching out of Sterling be prepared with a lot of people, quit crowded today although everybody handled themselves really well.

Looks like we should have tried farther northeast. Saturday morning we got one walleye at Brest Bay in 23 ft of water. Then moved out to 26 ft and got one more.
