Have some vacation coming up 1st two weeks of July. Wife and I are planning a few days on Reservoir and Houghton Lake. We like any information on Reservoir, having never fished it, but heard it was great for EYES. Trolling, slip bobbers or jigging. thanks in advance.

mucket - Holloway indeed, is a good Walleye lake, but this time of Year the PWC's and Powerboats dominate. Trolling is a lesson in frustation (floating weeds) now. Verticle jigging w/leeches - rigging - or find a point the winds pounding, and try casting crankbaits. Tail Dancers have been the hot crank (blue/silver). Not trying to scare You away, have fun and enjoy! Bob WC#253.

Muckett,
I live on the res.......I wouldn't discount trolling AT ALL. Actually there are very few weeds in the resevoir. Email me at robmobman1@aol.com I'll give ya the low down. If you want maybe we'll hook up for a morning of fishing.
