Heading out this evening and would prefer not to run out past west sister. Any eyes near the intake or close to shore?
Thanks

Please read the responses to the post 'Erie eyes".
Where is the Toledo water intake in relationship to the Toledo Light?

RickP,
The water intake is just east of the Toledo Lighthouse. I read the Erie Eyes posts and it sounds pretty good around the Mi/OH border.
I was just trying to confirm wether to head west , north or east from the dock at anchor point. When fishing after work there just isn't much time to hit numorous spots.
Thanks

If you have a Michigan license I'd say your best bet would be from e-bouy north about 2 miles in 19-20 ft. This is in Michigan waters. Spoons and cranks both seem to be doing well down 12-15ft. Keep an eye to the sky as storms are predicted.

Took advise from the bait store and headed NW of west sister. The lake was dead calm. We kept 15 walleye but not much size to them. We were busy releasing the 8" walleyes.

What was the depth you were fishing out there? We were there Sunday afternoon and marked a lot of fish in 31ft. Anything shallower and the marks weren't there. We took 10 in 1-1/2 hours before the skies got dark in the west and we decided to head for home at TBM. All fish were between 16-19 inches. Lots of little ones too.

The water depth was right around 30'. We had some real good marks. You wonder how many fish you could actually catch if you weren't dragging a little one. There should be some real good fishing in a couple years.
