Has anyone tried to use heavy fireline or any other kind of braided line instead of wire for lake trout fishing on Michigan? I'm just going back to that kind of fishing after being away from it for 15 years. Wire certainly does work but it is miserable and expensive to rig for. Thanx for any feedback ahead of time!
