im going to purchase a 1775wt skeeter with a yamaha 115 4 stroke and i was wondering if anyone has any performance numbers on this set up. what kind of mph will it do and does it get out of the hole ok? if anyone has any info would you please e mail me and let me know? also what lenght trolling motor do i need to outfit this? thanks chuck

Your top speed will be around 45-48mph. Hole shot is alot different than a 2 stroke but is o.k! The minumim trolling motor shaft would be 52"-better with a little longer!It's a great hull and you will love it!

thanks eye crosser. how do you know these figures? do you own one of these? i hear so many differnt numbers i dont know who to believe. i have bben told it will go as fast as 50 and as slow as 36 i just got a little nervous caus ei would like at least 43 mph. thanks again chuck

There will be times that you will run 36-38, thats when your loaded up! You will never run 50mph with a 115 in this hull,if your looking for more preformance buy the 150 V-MAX! You are under powering this boat with the 115, but it's much better on gas as well as trolling & back trolling! The down side is when you go to re-sell, when ever guy's don't put the maximum motor on a hull they tend to take a little more time to sell!You should be able to run 41-43mph consistantly, with just you an 1/4 tank of gas you should be able to run 45-48 top end! That's assuming you have it set up right, with the right prop! Remember the 4 strokes are not high preformance engines, they are made to troll & run alot cleaner without oil mix!
This is a good set up, but if your looking for speed aleast go with the 135!

I have the 150 V Max on mine, it'll run 60-62 "GPS" with just me and a light load.52-54 with four guys and a full tank, plenty fast and a great hole shot, it's a boat that you will be very happy with.

I own a 1775 skeeter with a 150 vmax how do you get that kind of speed. Mine will only do 52-54 tops, all conditions right. with a load only 50. What tpye of prop, hole on back is your motor in? What rpm are you running. I'm at only 5200 .

looking for opinions on the trolling motor shaft lenght too. any other suggestions on this boat would be appreticated

They are pretty good in rough water and with the 150Vmax I am getting about 55 with a full load and 57 with it light. I have a jackplate which gives it cleaner water to run in but if you look at my previos post I have a lot of torque on my wheel unless it is trimmed up all the way which makes it porpoise at lower speeds.

They are heavy like a ranger so I would max the HP on any of them.
