I run a 2025 MR.Walleye, on a shorelander tandem trailer, with a 100HP Mercury. I use it for backtrollig all the time. This boat will track on a dime. Though its a big boat, it fishs outstanding. I fish a huge wind swept lake, and there are very few days I can't get on it. With its weight, and new IPS hull design, it is really a good rough water boat. I have mine set up with a Minn Kota Vantage 74, and use that most of the time. If it gets really rough, I switch over to my Merc.
I would recommend ths boat, and wouldn't hesitate buying another. If you need more info. just e-mail me.
Take care. T

Had a 2025 LE. Loved it, but was scarey fitting it into my parking space at home. (Especially in the dark!!!)
Had a 225 Yammy and a T-9.9 yammy.
Used Minn-kota 65lb 24v. on bow.
It ran about 50mph +/-, depending on load.
I back-trolled with the T-9.9 Hi-thrust. It worked great (used drift sock off bow to control bow over-correction and rate of progress.)
Loved that boat!
I have a 2025 IFS with:
Merc 200 Digital Opti
Merc 9.9 4-stroke
Maxxum 101, 36v bow mount
Vantage 101, 36v transom
Can't tell you how it fishes as I just picked it up late last fall and only had one test run with it, but I do have a question. With the 25" transom, are splashguards really necessary for backtrolling in light to moderate waves? In heavier waves I will probably use the bow mount. I don't have splashguards now but am considering getting them.
