We have a charter scheduled for Huron Saturday - are we screwed?

This is our once-a-year trip. Now all I hear are bad weather reports. 5-7' waves! That will make just about anybody sea sick.

If we can get on the water - will the fishing be bad or will we just have to go further out to find clearer water?

I would call the charter. If he is good, he will be honest with you as most are. Most have foul weather policies and want to their crew to have a memorable trip.

I'm sure that are really excited about your trip, but there isn't much anyone on this board can do besides speculate. That goes for the fishing and the weather. It can say 5' waves on Erie and be dead calm or just the opposite.

You need to keep in touch with the captain. But also understand that at this point he only has the NOAA weather report to go on and some people think weathermen are not the most reliable sources in the world!!! Looking at the report I'd say you are not going fishing, but Lake Erie doesn't always do what's predicted??
