I just stayed at the Maumee bay resort State Park last weekend. Very nice place my question is do you troll-drift -anchor? How do you fish this area for EYE'S& pearch? I would like to bring my fishing partner down and stay at park and fish.

Not that i have been able to get out in the past 3 weeks due to the weather. we anchor and perch fish at this time of the season. there are still a few out trolling for walleye but we only picked up sublegal fish so we are done with that. if you go out im sure you will see a small pack by the water intake close in, the larger fish are out about 13 miles or so by the turnaround (they was 3 weeks ago)if i make it out this weekend ill try N41 49 W83 08 first on my gps then go from there. good luck
Maumee Bay is not really a Walleye hotspot. I grew up right across from the park and the only time the walleye fishing is good in that area is near the spawn. The fish head up the Maumee and Sandusky rivers and the fishing can be good at the mouth of each during pre and post spawn. If you want to perch fish in that area you should target the structure. West of the park there are a few coves that have some structure that was put in the break up the wave action and help prevent flooding. Perch fishing from shore near these areas was always good.
