I have Monday and Tuesday off, and if the weather cooperates, I would like to make a last walleye run off Vermilion or Lorain before I put the boat up for the year. Anyone having any luck? If so, I would much appreciate it if you could share some starting numbers and your program. Thanks!

So, should I take the fact that I got no responses to my question as everyone saying, "Don't bother, go back to work and save your vacation days?"

On Saturday the fish were at the 27/19. We fished the turnament but our bigest four did not make it over 20 lbs. So we didn't even weigh in. Water was stained and the bright orange and chartruce crancks worked for us, the problem was that we could not get the second fish on any of them. Every time we put a new lure on we'd get a fish on it right away, but not the second, so we changed lure all day. We did troll, so maybe a diferent presentation would be better. The sppons didn't catch any fish so we ran huskys behind 40/jets and dipseas, also deep diver riffrunners. Riffs did good 100 ft back, 40/jets 80 ft back, deepseas 75ft/#2 and 105ft/#3. Clown Huskys did real good, but again not the same lure twice. Even when we left the same lure on for over one hour after it cought a fish it did not hook the second, but when we changed it with another clown it took one right away, figure that! Since those were the fishe's rules for the day we got silly enough to change clowns for clowns all day!!! The pockes of fish are small and far between so when you get one, turn back on them right away. First part of the day we did'n do it and it was quite slow but when we started turning right back on them ir worked much better. Hope it helps you out and good luck.

Tight lines!!!!

We fished the WC get together also and fished 6 hours today. Not to much going on..Saturday we got one keeper on a deep RR, at the docks same story 1 fish for alot of guys our fish was in 32 foot of water, we fished the 27/27 all they way into 12 foot of water off the castle, There where some nice fish caught and weighed don't know where they went heard a couple guys say clearer water. Today we went out to the 36/25 to fish the clean water great marks no fish, Deep Reefs, spoons, nothing worked, went to the bar nothing again, switched baits and spots all day. Basically we fished from Huron to Lorain and all different speeds and baits and couldn't figure anything out.....good luck out there

Fished Friday at the 28/21 line. Marked many fish. Pcked up two fish in about one hour. Both fish on reef runner back 100 & 120 feet. Color Chartruese green with the red on head and the other was on green color (what I would call perch or fire tiger). Son did not feel well with the waves so we went in. Did not start until about 10:00, pulled the two fish immediately and then nothing for next hour before quitting for the day.

Fished Saturday, was part of tournament. Heard mixed results on radio. Some did not do very well, some did better. Results were from mixd ag of presentations. My son and I started alter than normal, he wanted to sleep in. Got on water about 09:00, did not want to venture out deep as the waves were rolling pretty good. (Most fish heard of were at 31/18 line but found in pods). We fished at 26/26 and 25/28, stayed at about 37' deep water. Water was stirred up but marked lots of fish. We did better than expected. We landed six fish and lost two reeling in and possibly two others before unhooking in-lines. (tough to handle boat and guide a 10 year old). Fish ranged from 26" to 30". All on reef runners, colors green/orange, green (2), rainbow trout, blue prism, purple prism, so no set pattern. All fish were caught ranging from 100 - 120 feet back. Speed was 1.7 to 2.0.

Good luck.

Well, despite all the good advice from everyone, I could not get anything going on Monday. I noticed a lot of foam on the surface everywhere off Vermilion, even out to the 33 line. I hope it was something natural, perhaps a result of the warm/cold water turnover? I settled for perch today off Lorain and got my limit in a couple of hours.
