Went out of E 72nd Sunday Night. Fish did not cooperate for us at all. We managed only 3 fish. One by the green light, 20' back. One 1/2 way between the light house and the intake, 50' back. One 1/4 mile out from the white lite, 15' back. We marked most fish 20'+ down and tryed the deep divers but with no success. After the last couple of weeks it was a surprise to have a bad night. The planr was off for the last two days and no warm water coming out.

Tight lines!

Hi Virgil:

My Dad and uncles were out last night and got 9 fish. I was out on Saturday night - Sunday Morning from 2:30 - 5:30 A.M. and got 6. The fish really started biting good around 4:00 A.M. in front of the horse shoe.

Hey Virgil. I just wanted to thank you for letting us know how well the night bite was off of East 72nd. We have been fishing up at night out of Eastlake and doing nothing. So when I read your post I made the drive and boy was it great. We limited out by 11pm. I even told 4 other of my eastsiders fishing buddies and they trailed their boats up there too. Is seems to be really crowded with alot of boats fishing there. Alot of people must be reading your posts. It has been great fishing there I we are planning to come again this week and weekend weather permitting. I have to get my light fixed on my boat so it hard to see us but we use a latern out there. Year is almost over so I mught just wait till spring. Again thanks so much Virgil (Fish Crazy) You made are fishing season complete. I have tolld alot of my fishing buddies how good it is there in fall and we might do a tournament up there with all of eastsiders.

Good luck fishing.

Perch fished out of E 72 Monday and Tuesday 2.9 miles out 47 foot of water caught limits of 120 on Monday and 90 on Tuesday. All 10" and above with several 12" and 5 over 13". Then went in and did the nite bite for walleye. Boated 12 on Monday night and 13 on Tuesday night. Most on deep husky jerks back 35 early and 15 later on. Best colors blue chrome firetiger and clown. All big fish except 2 Largest nearly 12# with many 10+.Many thanks to everyone who helped us as we were rookies to the night fishing and especially to Fishcrazy (Virgil) and his other fishing who shared the info.Probably won't be able to get up again even if the weather breaks as I have more scans to see if the thyroid cancer is still active. Got checked by DNR 2 nights.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and good fishing.

WHY

Why would you think that? Is it b/c you would, and you figure that most people are poor sportsman like you?

Bob, I'm realy looking forward to having you back here in the spring, if not sooner. Good luck with your tests. The honey you gave me was delicious and do want more of it. I'm glad you and everyone else had a good time this fall.

Bob, glad to see your program is still producing @ night! Looks like we will have plenty
to talk about at the next Walleye meeting! I have never had the "quality" of fish EVER
that this area has produced this fall! Kinda puzzled on why your going so far out for the
perch, but will find out as i have a couple of trips left! Good luck on the scan.....Jack

Brian wouldn't keep more than his limit - Never. Sounds like you've got a chip off your shoulder though. Why don't you share with us WHY?

wow was that meant as a slam toward me?? I guess me not needing to fill my livewell with fish evertime out is unsportsmanlike, last time out 3 of us got 22 or more eyes and kept 16. Guys like you without the nads to post under a registered name are the ones that need to be checked.

Point of View

Brian,

WHY could have been much nicer, but IMO there was a valid point that may have been missed by some. I think WHY was playing off an old saying that dishonest people tend to think the worst of others and honest people tend to believe others are honest. It is not always true.

Rhetorical - How are you sure there are people taking more than they are supposed to? What are you basing your opinion on??? Odds are, spreading rumors, or have you seen it...

You certainly have a right to express your opinion.

Not intended to be offensive. You seem to be a stand-up guy. All this is, is another point of view. Consider it or not. Words are powerful tools and it's possible both you and WHY you could have stated things a little differently and still conveyed your opinions. I'd guess a lot of people knew what you intended and that your intentions were good but obviously not everyone.

See ya at the ramp...

Glad the see the DNR boys are checking late at night, Im sure there are people taking more than they are supposed to. Good luck to you Bob.

well golly,
If I was one that was taking more fish than legally allowed why would I be glad ODNR guys are checking then? Last Saturday in Cleveland 3 of us threw back enough fish to take us well over our limit and still kept less than allowed. Anyone that has fished with me from WC knows what Im about and its not breaking laws. If you are going to post on here dont be a coward and post anonymously.

Easy Brian, this "WHY" is obvisously trying to pull your chain! I personally have fished with Brian
several times, he's an avid fisherman who likes to catch fish, Brian knows the rules and regs...
like a drill sargent, as do I!...Was out with Brian on Sat caught 20+ fish....Only kept 16 w/crew
of three! Let "WHY" keep wondering why he cant produce!........Jack

Hi Brian:

I know that you follow the rules, so whatever any coward might say it's irrelevent to me. Don't feel so bad though, I got blamed for DNR being here because I posted the information about fish being cought. I personally do not agree with a limit on rod and reel fishing, though I would agree with closing the season during spoaning and stopping the netting.
