WENT OUT OF EDGEWATER SUNDAY MORNING, E.72 ST. WAS JAMMED WITH ICE IN THE MORNING, ALTHOUGH WE SAW A SMALLER BOAT COME OUT LATER IN THE DAY. WATER WAS CHOCOLATE MILK OUT THE THE 4 MILE AREA AND LOOKED DIRTY ALL THE WAY TO CANADA. WITH THE STRONG SOUTH WIND IT GOT A LITTLE TO BUMPY TO TRY ANY FARTHER. TROLLED FROM EDGEWATER TO E.72ND. OUTSIDE THE BREAKWALL, TURNED AROUND AND TRIED ABOUT HALF WAY BACK WITH 1 PULL BACK ALL DAY AND WE TRIED IT ALL. STILL HAD THE MARKS WE HAD DURRING THE EXCELLENT NIGHT BITE BUT COULDNT GET EM TO GO. WEATHER LOOKS DECENT ALL WEEK BUT WONT MAKE IT OUT AGAIN TILL THE 16TH. TIGHT LINES, EYE PROBLEM

I went out of edgewater last thursday.. what a great weather day, with a flat lake. went to the crib for perch, but didn't get a bite.trolled all the way to 72nd street and didn.t get a hit... tried after dark at gordon park and still nothing..

possibly the wqater is too cold to hold bait fish to bring the eyes in to shore. saw a lot of hickory shad porpoising. fishermen from shore also said they didn.t get any fish.probable no good until spring.

does any one know when it starts in the spring????

Jeff For this year I would say one with a boat. If we do get ice I would call Tim Calvert. He posts on here as reel magic.

Thanks Scott.
I live on SBI and you're right the ice is not looking good.
I kind of asked you a loaded question since I like to take
my freinds out and put them on fish, call me. I'll give you a
good deal. 419 285 2078

SBIJeff, I am confused at your point. You asked for a recomendation when your an ice guide yourself or am I mistaken and just take out friends.
