My son and I returned last night from 2 1/2 days of fishing at LOTW and Upper Red. LOTW was great fun. We fished with Walleye Retreat and they placed us in a decent house over 24' of water. We caught approximately 50-60 walleyes and sauger each day with a couple of perch and burbots. The largest walleye was 19" but most were between 11 and 13 inches. It seemed like red glow jigs in the shape of demons were the trick near the bottom. The vexilar was outstanding!!!! Upper red was also awesome. We went to Bear Paw outfitters and he put us in 14' of water at 7:30 AM. We left at noon with 14 huge crappies and several nice perch. We also caught and RELEASED IMMEDIATELY, 9 walleyes with the largest at 18". Over all, a great couple of days and a nice way to satisfy the ice fishing itch since our ice here in Indiana has been poor.
